Last Blog
This is the last blog i will have to write for the rest of the year. I have to say i had a good time in this class. i looked foward to coming to this class because it was more chill than the rest of my classes. it was pretty easy for me other than a few of the tests and quizzes i didnt do so great on but other than that, i found it to be easy. Now i have western civilization with mr fendryk and i think that class is going to be just like this but with different people and possibly a different teaching style. I do like how you were enthusiastic and i hope mr fendryk brings the energy to his class aswell. Thank you for making the first semester enjoyable :)

we just took a test and i think i did terrible. i have no idea what i was doing even though i studied a lot. in reviewed everything i had with me and studied for hours but i definitely didn't do good.
I liked how enthusiastic you were and that you were very precise with your facts and teaching. i dont like how we mainly took notes and it was mostly all powerpoints. i think if we could do one thing better, it was to take notes differently or learn our topic better. i didnt like taking tests on scan trons either. i thought the written fill in the blanks and multiple choice on the test was much better.

In europe, muslims have account for 5 percent of the population. france has the largest muslim population with about 4 million. Estimates of muslims in NA range from 1 million to 5 million. one number has increased dramatically from only a few hundred thousand in 1990. approximately one-third of the U.S. Muslims race their ancestry to Pakistan and other South Asian countries and one-fourth to Arab countries of southwest asia and north africa. Buddhism is clustered primarily in east asia and south east asia. An accurate count of buddhists is especially difficult because only a few people participate in buddhist institution. Someone can be both a buddhist and a believer in other easter religions, whereas christianity and islam both require exclusive adherence.

There are 4 basic Vedic texts in use by the Hindus known as:
1. Rig-Veda - 1028 Hymns is the largest collection known for Hymns of Praise
2. Sama-Veda - 1549 Verses that are about melodies and chants.
3. Yajur-Veda - 1875 Verses meaning to worship or to sacrifice.
4. Atharva-Veda - 730 Hymns that are about the procedures of everyday life.
Indulgence is basically trying to make one suffer less for the sins he or she commits. It is like a free pass that lets you get away with sin.
Martin Luther is the man who wrote the 95 Thesis. Martin Luther didn't think that indulgences really forgive sins, but they just let you have a free sin to commit. He didn't think it was a good idea for the Catholic Church to go and sell indulgences. He felt the pope should not have the right to grant a pardon from God.
My research led me to understand why Martin Luther thought the way he did even though I disagree with him. I do believe that everyone should have some indulgences to keep them from sin because not everyone is perfect and we are obviously going to commit some sins. I do get how he could have gotten furious and how he wrote otherwise from the church and this is where my research led me.
Hajj is an annual Islamic tradition to the mecca where they renew their conscience of the world and perform acts of worship. It is so true to their faith that only Islamic members can part take. No other religions can join. It is a 5 day process that the Islamic people take very seriously.
