1. Rig-Veda - 1028 Hymns is the largest collection known for Hymns of Praise
2. Sama-Veda - 1549 Verses that are about melodies and chants.
3. Yajur-Veda - 1875 Verses meaning to worship or to sacrifice.
4. Atharva-Veda - 730 Hymns that are about the procedures of everyday life.
Indulgence is basically trying to make one suffer less for the sins he or she commits. It is like a free pass that lets you get away with sin.
Martin Luther is the man who wrote the 95 Thesis. Martin Luther didn't think that indulgences really forgive sins, but they just let you have a free sin to commit. He didn't think it was a good idea for the Catholic Church to go and sell indulgences. He felt the pope should not have the right to grant a pardon from God.
My research led me to understand why Martin Luther thought the way he did even though I disagree with him. I do believe that everyone should have some indulgences to keep them from sin because not everyone is perfect and we are obviously going to commit some sins. I do get how he could have gotten furious and how he wrote otherwise from the church and this is where my research led me.
Hajj is an annual Islamic tradition to the mecca where they renew their conscience of the world and perform acts of worship. It is so true to their faith that only Islamic members can part take. No other religions can join. It is a 5 day process that the Islamic people take very seriously.
